(*) ·el 27 de enero del año 1945, en plena Segunda Guerra Mundial, dice la crónica de la época, Que los soldados rusos (tropas soviéticas), ingresan en Auschwitz 'a sangre y fuego', y liberan éstos Campos de Concentración. Éstos centros de exterminio, donde los primeros en ser prisioneros, fueron 728 prisioneros políticos polacos de Tarnów. Luego, siguieron, con miembros de la resistencia e intelectuales de orígen polaco. Más adelante, llevaron alli (Auschwitz 1) también, a prisioneros de guerra soviéticos, prisioneros comunes alemanes y a los homosexuales. Y a todos los Que los nazis,(ejército alemán) los catalogaban como elementos 'antisociales'. Desde el primer momento llegaron asimismo prisioneros judíos. El campo albergaba ·que es una forma de expresar· generalmente, una cantidad de, entre 13.OOO y 16.OOO prisioneros. Alcanzando la cifra de 2O.OOO, en 1942. Fué fundado el 2O de mayo de 194O. Las SS (tropas especiales alemanas) seleccionaban prisioneros a los Que llamaban 'kapos', para supervisar el resto. Todos los prisioneros del campo realizaban trabajos, y excepto en las fábricas de armas, el domingo se reservaba para limpieza, ducha y no se asignaban tareas. Las durísimas condiciones de trabajo, más la desnutrición y la poca higiene, hacian Que la tasa de mortalidad entre los prisioneros fuera muy grande. La primera mujer Que llegó al campo fue, en marzo de 1942. Entre abril de 1943 y mayo de 1944, se llevaron a cabo experimentos de esterilización sobre las mujeres judías, en el bloque 1O. En ►Auschwitz 2, se encerraron cientos de miles de judíos, y allí, también, se ejecutaron + de un millón de judíos y decenas de miles de gitanos. El campo está ubicado en Birkenau, a unos 3 kilómetros de Auschwitz. La construcción se inició en 1941, como parte de la 'Endlösung'. El campo tenía una extensión de 2,5 km, por 2 km., y se encontraba dividido en varias secciones, cada una de ellas separada en campos los que al igual que el complejo entero, estaban todos cercados y rodeados de alambres de púas y cercas electrificadas para Que nada ni nadie pueda escapar. El campo encerró hasta 1OO.OOO prisioneros. El Objetivo Principal de éste campo era: el exterminio. El campo estaba equipado con cuatro (4) crematorios, con cámara de gas. Allí, ·en las duchas· y a través de unas aperturas especiales Que los alemanes habían instalado, en paredes y techos, se descargaba el agente tóxico: Zyklon B. Por supuesto, mortal. Así, empezaba la 'Solución Final.
