and songwriter, who is best known for playing guitar in 'Sweet'
and 'Heaven & Earth'. Stuart, was born in York, England (May 3O,
1956 (age 62)), the son of an RAF jet fighter pilot. At age seven
and a half he was given a Spanish guitar by some RAF friends of
his parents who were being transferred overseas. At his father's
insistence he started classical guitar lessons and soon overtook
his tutor. He studied classical guitar style until the age of 14
which is when he was introduced to rock & roll after seeing ► a
'Deep Purple' concert. ...After a brief stint working at "Texas
Instruments" in Bedford, England, he once again picked up the

álbum "Led Zeppelin III", el cual fue lanzado al
mercado el 5 de octubre de 197O por Atlantic Records.
El estribillo de ésta canción está fuertemente
influenciado por la canción de ♦·Moby Grape·♦:'Never'
(de su álbum de 1968, "Grape Jam").
Además, la introducción de la canción es idéntica a
la de 'New York City Blues', una canción de la banda
anterior de Page, The Yardbirds. 'Since I've Been
Loving You' fue una de las primeras canciones que
preparó el grupo para su magistral tercer disco : se
grabó en directo, y sin muchos retoques finales.
John Paul Jones, acompañado por su órgano Hammond,
se encargó, al mismo tiempo, de la línea de bajo,
usando un pedal para el mismo. Por otra parte, ésta
es una de las pocas canciones del repertorio de Led
Zeppelin en las que se puede oír el chirrido del
pedal del bombo de John Bonham en el estudio.
El solo de guitarra que Jimmy Page compuso para
ésta canción pasó por un proceso de evolución
complejo. Page grabó, antes de llegar al sonido ideal
Que buscaba, distintos solos de guitarra; uno de
ellos ha sido remasterizado, incluido y publicado en
la versión "deluxe" del álbum "Led Zeppelin 3", bajo
el título de "Since I've Been Loving You (Rough Mix)".
Ésta edición fue publicada en el 2O14, junto a los 2
anteriores álbumes ("Led Zeppelin I".♪. . . y "Led
Zeppelin II.♪. . .").
Si comparamos la versión final con la versión
prematura de la canción, podemos escuchar como Page
eleva su capacidad compositiva, colocando éste solo
de guitarra, sin duda alguna, en uno de los mejores
de la historia del rock.
La canción compara una relación extenuante con el
estrés de un trabajo tradicional. A pesar del arduo
esfuerzo de Robert para mantener viva la relación,
su compañera es infiel. Mientras él, está en el
trabajo, otro tiene entre sus brazos a su pareja, y
cuando él regresa a su casa, el otro hombre se escapa
por la puerta trasera. No cabe duda de que el blues
es uno de los momentos más conmovedores de Led Zeppelin.
Finalmente, como una opinión personal y, por ende,
subjetiva, quiero acotar que 'Since I've Been Loving
You' demuestra el motivo por el cual Led Zeppelin es
una de las mejores bandas de rock de la historia.
En ésta canción se aprecia una interpretación vocal
magnífica, con una potencia y un rango inigualable,
con un tono vocal inconfundible, distintivo y único;
una composición de guitarra intrincada y sombría al
mismo tiempo; una línea de órgano sublime y sutil.
Ni qué decir sobre el ímpetu y la vehemencia de John

and songwriter, who is best known for playing guitar in 'Sweet'
and 'Heaven & Earth'. Stuart, was born in York, England (May 3O,
1956 (age 62)), the son of an RAF jet fighter pilot. At age seven
and a half he was given a Spanish guitar by some RAF friends of
his parents who were being transferred overseas. At his father's
insistence he started classical guitar lessons and soon overtook
his tutor. He studied classical guitar style until the age of 14
which is when he was introduced to rock & roll after seeing ► a

Instruments" in Bedford, England, he once again picked up the

álbum "Led Zeppelin III", el cual fue lanzado al
mercado el 5 de octubre de 197O por Atlantic Records.
El estribillo de ésta canción está fuertemente
influenciado por la canción de ♦·Moby Grape·♦:'Never'
(de su álbum de 1968, "Grape Jam").
Además, la introducción de la canción es idéntica a
la de 'New York City Blues', una canción de la banda
anterior de Page, The Yardbirds. 'Since I've Been
Loving You' fue una de las primeras canciones que
preparó el grupo para su magistral tercer disco : se
grabó en directo, y sin muchos retoques finales.
John Paul Jones, acompañado por su órgano Hammond,
se encargó, al mismo tiempo, de la línea de bajo,
usando un pedal para el mismo. Por otra parte, ésta
es una de las pocas canciones del repertorio de Led
Zeppelin en las que se puede oír el chirrido del
pedal del bombo de John Bonham en el estudio.
El solo de guitarra que Jimmy Page compuso para
ésta canción pasó por un proceso de evolución
complejo. Page grabó, antes de llegar al sonido ideal
Que buscaba, distintos solos de guitarra; uno de
ellos ha sido remasterizado, incluido y publicado en
la versión "deluxe" del álbum "Led Zeppelin 3", bajo
el título de "Since I've Been Loving You (Rough Mix)".
Ésta edición fue publicada en el 2O14, junto a los 2
anteriores álbumes ("Led Zeppelin I".♪. . . y "Led
Zeppelin II.♪. . .").
Si comparamos la versión final con la versión
prematura de la canción, podemos escuchar como Page
eleva su capacidad compositiva, colocando éste solo
de guitarra, sin duda alguna, en uno de los mejores
de la historia del rock.
La canción compara una relación extenuante con el
estrés de un trabajo tradicional. A pesar del arduo
esfuerzo de Robert para mantener viva la relación,
su compañera es infiel. Mientras él, está en el
trabajo, otro tiene entre sus brazos a su pareja, y
cuando él regresa a su casa, el otro hombre se escapa
por la puerta trasera. No cabe duda de que el blues
es uno de los momentos más conmovedores de Led Zeppelin.
Finalmente, como una opinión personal y, por ende,
subjetiva, quiero acotar que 'Since I've Been Loving
You' demuestra el motivo por el cual Led Zeppelin es
una de las mejores bandas de rock de la historia.
En ésta canción se aprecia una interpretación vocal
magnífica, con una potencia y un rango inigualable,
con un tono vocal inconfundible, distintivo y único;
una composición de guitarra intrincada y sombría al
mismo tiempo; una línea de órgano sublime y sutil.
Ni qué decir sobre el ímpetu y la vehemencia de John
