había nacido el 31 de marzo de 1942; también era, además,
Arreglista & Productor Musical. Su base era la ciudad de
New York, donde fue conocido, principalmente, como músico
de sesión. Antes de participar en las grabaciones de B.B.
King •Completely Well•, había grabado junto a Laura Nyro,
en su álbum "Eli and the Thirteenth Confession, de 1968.

A mediados de la década del '6O, Hugh McCracken tocaba la
guitarra en una banda de un club nocturno de North Jersey,

"Mack Pierce"; luego, la banda se convirtió en ♦#Mario &
The Funatics#♦.♪..., por un corto tiempo, cuando se fusionó
con el saxofonista ♦#Mario Madison#♦.♪...; también, desde
el año 1969 al '72, fue parte de la agrupación ♦#White
Elephant Orchestra#♦.♪..., del vibrafonista de jazz, ♦#Mike
Mainieri#♦.♪...
En 1971, tras sustituir a su compañero ♦#David Spinozza#♦.♪,
en la grabación del álbum "Ram", de Paul McCartney, Hugh le
rechazó la invitación a McCartney para incorporarse en una
nueva banda que estaba formando el ex beatle: ♦#Wings#♦.♪...

En el año 1997 Hugh McCracken participó como guitarrista,
siendo uno de los músicos de sesión con los que contó Andrés
Calamaro para grabar el que ha sido uno de sus discos más
relevantes ("Alta Suciedad") y piezas claves en la música
cantada en español. Entre algunas de las joyas del músico de
New York, se puede apreciar 'la técnica' en el corte : ♦#EL
TERCIO DE LOS SUEÑOS#♦.♪. . ., en el que la 'intro' del tema
estaba dando problemas durante el proceso de la grabación.

► El legendario guitarrista norteamericano 'Hugh McCracken',
había nacido el 31 de marzo de 1942; también era, además,
Arreglista & Productor Musical. Su base era la ciudad de
New York, donde fue conocido, principalmente, como músico
de sesión. Antes de participar en las grabaciones de B.B.
King •Completely Well•, había grabado junto a Laura Nyro,
en su álbum "Eli and the Thirteenth Confession, de 1968.
McCracken participó en los discos de éstos impresionantes
artistas: Steely Dan, Donald Fagen, John Lennon, Jimmy
Rushing, Billy Joel, Roberta Flack, Idris Muhammad, Paul
McCartney, Paul Simon, Yoko Ono, Roland Kirk, James Taylor,
Art Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Graham Parker, Hank Crawford,

A mediados de la década del '6O, Hugh McCracken tocaba la
guitarra en una banda de un club nocturno de North Jersey,
llamada ♦#The Funatics#♦.♪..., bajo el nombre artístico de
"Mack Pierce"; luego, la banda se convirtió en ♦#Mario &
The Funatics#♦.♪..., por un corto tiempo, cuando se fusionó
con el saxofonista ♦#Mario Madison#♦.♪...; también, desde
el año 1969 al '72, fue parte de la agrupación ♦#White
Elephant Orchestra#♦.♪..., del vibrafonista de jazz, ♦#Mike
Mainieri#♦.♪...
En 1971, tras sustituir a su compañero ♦#David Spinozza#♦.♪,
en la grabación del álbum "Ram", de Paul McCartney, Hugh le
rechazó la invitación a McCartney para incorporarse en una
nueva banda que estaba formando el ex beatle: ♦#Wings#♦.♪...

En el año 1997 Hugh McCracken participó como guitarrista,
siendo uno de los músicos de sesión con los que contó Andrés
Calamaro para grabar el que ha sido uno de sus discos más
relevantes ("Alta Suciedad") y piezas claves en la música
cantada en español. Entre algunas de las joyas del músico de
New York, se puede apreciar 'la técnica' en el corte : ♦#EL
TERCIO DE LOS SUEÑOS#♦.♪. . ., en el que la 'intro' del tema
estaba dando problemas durante el proceso de la grabación.
► Dobro en mano, McCraken, despejó las dudas de Cómo poder
arrancar! la canción. Un MAESTRO.
Hugh McCracken pertenece a la estirpe de los músicos Que hoy
son leyenda por su virtuosismo & don de gente, como ♦#Larry
Knechtel#♦.♪. . ., a.k.a. 'el Príncipe Valiente'.♪. . .
Hugh, falleció de leucemia, el 28 de marzo del año 2O13.
Tenía 7O años de edad; y apenas, le faltaban días para llegar
a cumplir los 71 . . .
